Data handling is charged at a fixed fee per dog which includes the following:

• Numbering of entry forms
• Compilation of catalogue from entry forms (which need not be pre-sorted), checking the classes entered for age, sex, breed or variety
• Telephone calls to exhibitors concerning queries on entry forms
• Summary catalogue
• Accounts reports
• Optional reports (if requested)

The use of an up-to-date database system combined with Desktop Publishing techniques has enabled us to reduce our printing costs considerably. As data input is charged as a seperate item, your total cost is dependent upon the number of dogs entered rather than the number of catalogues required - a much more realistic and fairer pricing system we believe.

(In some instances, it may appear that you are paying more [dependent upon entry] but if you take into consideration the increased profit on catalogue sales you will find that in real terms our costs have not increased.)

It is, therefore, advantageous to include pre-paid catalogues on your entry form.
Advertising in the catalogue is a good way of offsetting the cost of Schedules as long as the price is realistic, otherwise you may find that the Society is subsidising the advert.

Preparing Entry Forms

Entry forms are not required to be sorted in any way as the computer performs its own sort when it numbers the exhibits. Each form will be given a reference number by us which is printed on the summary catalogue report (see below) for easy retrieval of any form at a later date. Any dog may be withdrawn or added up to the point when entries are sorted and numbered. If members are to be marked in the Catalogue, a large red "M" or other easily identifiable mark must be made on the members' forms.

Reports Included With catalogues (all free of charge)

• Summary Catalogue - alphabetical list of owners' names and addresses, dog's name, exhibit number and classes entered. This is a consise and handy guide for telephone enquiries and includes the reference number for easy retrieval of the entry form.
• Account Report - indicates exhibitors who are under- or over-paid; plus total monies received.
• Benching List - for a benched show, giving ring numbers required for each breed.
• Ring Number Report - a list of new dogs in each class, useful if ring numbers are to be handed out by the steward in the ring.
• Class Entries Report - to assist in deciding on ring size and to let judges know their entry.
• Dog and Entries Report - list of numbers of dogs and bitches entered for each breed,

Judging Books

Large A4 size. Supplied for each judge, printed from the computer file to match the Catalogue exactly. Each page is fully headed with the breed, class number, class name and number of entries. Personalised covers with your own Society's logo on them are provided at no extra cost.

SCHEDULES

One entry form is included FREE OF CHARGE in every schedule

Schedules can be 4, 8, 12, 16,20,24,28 etc pages. Use our enquiry form to request a price for the number you require.

"One page" is a single A5. All Schedules will be typeset, providing very economical use of the pages. We have two standard formats for the Classification pages - either using class codes or typed in full. Any deviations from these formats can be priced on request.

Schedules can have a coloured cover of your choice and a proof copy will be available approximately two weeks after your copy is received by us. You are required to sign and return the proof before we commence printing, marking any amendments BOLDLY and preferably in red ink.

Catalogues are from 8 pages upwards, in multiples of 4 pages. Use our enquiry form to request a price for the number you require.

A Catalogue made up from 10 A4 sheets is a 40 page Catalogue. You will be charged for the number of pages the Catalogue makes which, of course, is dependent upon your entry of dogs, number of classes, adverts, and pages of notices, Committee, Trophies, etc.

All our work is typeset giving good quality copy and the price includes a choice of coloured cover.

We require between 2 and 3 weeks, depending upon the size of the Show, for processing and printing and we ensure delivery of Catalogues during the week prior to the Show. Other reports/Judging Books would be available before this time, if required. Our usual method of despatch is by overnight carrier who normally deliver to your door between 9.00 am and 5.00 pm, Monday to Friday.
